co axial or dual cone? Dont wanna cut into my parcel shelf so im just gonna go for some round ones instead but am clueless when it comes to tpye etc... Advice please!!

No question, Co-axial (or 2-way) give far better sound than dual-cone. 2-way have a small tweeter whereas dual-cone is only 1 speaker unit. Got 6x9s on the rear shelf of mine and although they're quite big, they're wired for sound!

Go for two way components if funds allow, they with sound better than both coaxials and dual cones. Most manufacturers supply them with mounting pods for the separate tweeters so no extra cutting need either
