thats probably 90% of the people on here... :D

anyway, my wheel is a bit dry and slippery if that makes sense - i'm wondering what kinds of things i can use to make it feel a bit nicer, softer, grippier. a leather treatment of some sort? i want to avoid anything that will make it greasy or unpleasent to use

any recommendations of particular products or anything that should be avoided?

thanks

Not sure about for steering wheels particularly, but gliptone cleaner / conditioner (you can get them from http://www.liquidleather.com/) is excellent on seats... try e-mailing them?

I used good old fashioned boot polish. Put plenty of black polish on and dont drive the car for 12 hours. Get a clean cloth and rub it all off. Then get a differnt cloth and polish it. It works great. Just like on shoes.
