No mag out there that caters just for the e30, unfortunately. The e30 zone is the closest you'll get, that's dedicated just for the e30. There are other sites out there, e30tech.com being another.

Performance BMW and Total BMW are the best.

Total BMW has cars that are pretty much standard.

Performance BMW has modified cars. Plenty of E30's in there too *cough* dips *cough* :D :D

Total BMW is probably your best bet. A really good read and a nice mixture of new cars and classics. Their Tech sections are excellent and the magazine has improved a lot over the last few months now the old editor is back on board.

BMW Car is a very good read. A bit more upmarket and focuses more on the newer and tuned (Alpina etc) end of the market but has had more older stuff in it recently.

I wouldn't wipe my arse on Performance BMW.

Maybe not completely but you gotta admit it is the "max power" of the three bm mags. I buy tbmw and bmw car every month and will buy pbmw if there is something i like in it. I would say out of the 3 e30's mostly appear in tbmw. Andyboy on here writes for them but most of you alredy knew that.

Every month i get-

Performance bmw
Totalbmw
Redline(much better than it used to be!)
Track and race car(not much e30 action but a great mag for race cars and technical stuff!)

And sometimes get-

American car world
Custom car
Fast car
Performance vw
BMW Car
Banzai

I always end up in WHSmith flicking through most car mags, dont always buy them but i like keeping up with everything thats going on in the non-bmw scene. An e30 only mag would be great tho!

I read all sorts of car (and other winkeye ) magazines.

I don't just like E30 BMWs (although I do plan keeping mine for quite some time yet), I like loads of different cars and some of them I would like to own some day.

PPC is the daddy for me though!

I also read Autocar every week and sometimes Auto Italia, Classic and Sportscar, and most classic mags any mates have lying around and I often buy old car mags off Ebay, especially if there is a feature on (and I'm a total anorak on this subject) a Lamborghini Countach!

Hasnt street machine become american 'car' world.... just restored american tanks... no custom/drag stuff anymore?

I dont buy any car mags. Especially not bmw ones. TBMW and PBMW are sponsored by 'custom cars' (sorry dips) so you dont get anything like a fair sample of the bmw world in the UK, just dips' latest creation (as fine as they are) and a few brand new 'dub style' 7 series, mixed with a chavvy e36 or two.

I'm not chap... you produce some superb examples, and I may be wrong, but it does seem like every issue you have something in there. As you say, of the last 7 issues, 5 were zoners... I'm guessing all of them zoners that took their car to you?

Is your missus one of the editors or something? Or are you the only good quality bodyshop/garage that does e30's in the uk? (serious question)

Has anyone bought a Performance Tuner Magazine? The 'Ring car is an E30 335i with a couple of mods, will be worth a purchase. It is Jim Camerons car and will be a great intersting read for you guys
E30 M3 Unichip Alpha N style conversions, this is the ultimate for extracting the best out of your S14 M power car.
Also, Live mapping of your Standard Motronic ECU for optimising all your modifications.

Defiantly the 'max power' of the three.

But not all boy racers and bodykits... You see plenty of tasty cars in there that are subtly modified. Then again, you do get your fair share of shitters.

I don't think there has ever been a Dips creation in TBMW. No bad taste E36's either.
The chavvy stuff has it's place and it's PBMW which although not my taste obviously has a ready market. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Simple. winkeye
