Hi have just bought a convertable from Lars idid not notice till i got home that it has pre facelift painted chrome bumpers front and rear surly ot being a 1990 car it should have the later ones or did this not apply to the convertables.

The convertibles were facelifted but it was around 90/91 when the E36 came out, probably as BMW realised if people were buying the old model they'd at least want the facelifted version of it

Thanks for the info so will i be able to fit the mtec2 kit to my convertable

You will, but you'll have to modify the rear bumper to go as pre- and post-facelift rear arches are different
