hubble, you have a good pain finish to start with, i've seen your car in the metal. yes its had some depth, but pictures do not reflect "real" life shine to the eye, they can be very deceptive ( i'm not saying anything negative about your car  )

with silver, depending how its painted you can get what looks like a suspended effect which always looks good. but compare it with say C76jon's evo 2 for depth ..............

malcom, your cars grey, its a dark colour therefor has depth when polished, waxed and sealed

it looks grey to the eye, and no i'm not colour blind either. if you didnt know the correct colour name would you call it silver or grey ?

as a mod, moderate. being sarcastic to another forum member is not acceptable
tylerma wrote: try and leve this thread to carry on topic please Kos
it is on topic, its a discussion on paint polish wax and finishes, so colour is part of the discussion
tylerma wrote: if you wanna chat just pm me
no need, i have nothing to say to you via pm that can not be public. my feeling to wards you and your conduct as a moderator are clear. you had an oppertunity to speak to me at ace but you chose not to.

however i remaine diplomatic in conversation in thread where you are posting, but your need to be sarcastic to wards me again shows complete lack of respect again in regards to my opinion on a given subject.

Kos in my eyes you give respect to recieve it

what oppotunity did I have to talk to you at the Ace
you are the one who has created friction so its for you to resolve not me
I have no problem with you just the way you spoke to me I guess that an issue with respect also.

Paul has asked about polish for his car
not what colour mine is or what you think it is

I think its silver
BMW think its silver
you think its grey
thats the end of it in my eyes

if you have a problem with me try talking to me about it
other people do

thats quite a good polish and not too hard to work with either

you should try the meguires stage 2 of the set
then a nice wax to go over it should give some nice results
Its Gold Class Liquid Wax which is why I started the thread, ie I need polish. I think I will go with the Meguires stage 2 polish with the liquid wax over the top.

I want to start by using my new Meguires clay kit. I used it on my wheels a the weekend with good results, see link

you are stuborn and dont seem to understand what my grip is

any way its being delt with malcom and i have expressed my view to other members of the team as i'm sure you are aware, its simply about the way you moderate and the fact you still flex you moderating muscles and "look after your own" , the comment about white and blue is not needed and in your position you should be diplomatic. to an new member seeing a post like that is not good is it ??

your attitude towards me has changed and it all stems back to that thred with erels car and when i made a few coments about yours. you dont like me and i really dont care, the only view on you i have is simple , i dont repect you at all as i cant repesct some one who shows no respect to me, this something you mentioned in you previous post in this thread.

oh and your car's grey

ok Kos you are right I am wrong
my car is grey
I'll make a point of getting the log book and mot changed.

as for not liking you
I did we were alright until you took an unprovoked strike at me and my car
and it was nothing to do with erels thread.

I could pick a few things out on your car but I wont stoop to that level Kos
thats not me
you have your opinion on me thats fine you are entitled to it
but you are the only person to have a gripe with me and my moderating
and that has only come about since I gave my opinion on something.

all I can say Kos is if you have a problem with me put in a complaint about me and it will be addressed
but it wont get you a slot on the team.

I wont lock this thread because I will just get more flack from you
if another mod feels it needs to be locked then fair enough.

on topic
Paul as said beforehand I would give the meguires stage 2 a try
its really good stuff and reasonably priced too
I think its about £8.00 a bottle from halfords

a slot on the team ??

the are other who dont like oyur style of moderating, they just aint as out spoken as me

as for putting a complaint, it has been discussed with another moderator already, and if i'm correct you have been told to no come out with your sarcastic remarks any more, and not entertain in converstaions like this with me, but your provocation has again pushed me to get draged into an argumnet.

i dont take well do sarcastic remarks,

now do as you mate says and wind your neck in. as a moderator set an example

Kos, Could we please drop this now. I'm not going to enter into an argument with either of you.

It will take one of you to stop the retorts, So can we draw a line under this now.

As you asked in the other thread Paul, I get good results from this:

http://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/index.ph ... ductId=117

It's the next level of abrasiveness up from the retail range I believe.

Well I'm an amateur Paul.

Just make sure you work the polish properly, Work in 18" squares and work the polish till it turns clear. This is when the abrasive particles have fully broken down.

Helps to give the applicator a light spray with quik detailer before use, Stops the pad absorbing the polish.

Good applicators: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/accessori ... d_280.html

White side is a firmer foam for polishing, Red side is softer for applying wax/sealant.

Not yet. I ordered some new polishing clothes on Wednesday last week but they did not arrive in time for the weekend. They tried to deliver on Monday but as I was at work I have to pick them up from the Post office. I will have a go this saturday. :D

I used the meguiars 3 step on my white touring and was really impressed with the difference it made. If you search on my username and "polishing the turd" or similar you'll see the pics.
The problem was that it takes a whole day to do it properly and it doesn't last for that long afterwards. I'm interested in getting some ZAINO 10 (whatever its called) daily use one step carwash/wax which I'll try when I run out of meguiars. This might take some time as I can't really face 3 stepping my cars right now!

As for clay bars - fantastic. Really easy to use and very effective indeed.
E30 Touring 0.35 cD - more slippery than prison soap :)

The Chemical Guys wheel sealant smells relly good as well. I wonder if they add the smells, cant be a by product of the chemicals they put in.
