Hiya you lot, esp E30beemerlad and AARONM3, if you find any clear roads up here in the lakes, post it on here.... the roads here drive me nuts! 20mph a lot of the way and no chance of overtaking!
THere is only one Gatso in the whole of cumbria... im not kidding... its in INGS village just b4 u get to windermere. There are a few mobile camera vans occasionally but they got yellow and orange stickers all over them.. cant miss em.
If u gonna bomb along the a591 (the windermere to keswick road) can u a) watch out for the sheep on the road.. b/f had a luck escape a few months back.. the sheep didnt fare so well! farmers aint good at looking after their stock round here
b) watch out for me!.. i usually waddling along the road somewhere!

Hi Hannah, yeah a591, that's the road i was meaning. Also a road going up from windermere towards a village called Crook, was staying at a hotel up there, a few nice twists and turns along the way an grounded the exhaust out on turning into the hotel car park

gutted that u grounded ur exhaust eh
or was it just standard? the road between Grasmere and Keswick is quite good, its about 12 miles... but remember to behave... the limit is 70mph on the dual carriageways..

it's dropped about 35mm and has scorpion dtm, got the exhaust and mudflaps. Seem to be forever catching the exhaust on speed bumps. Bloody estate i live on is riddled with them too, plus i love pissing people off who charge up behind you as you slow to 5mph for a speed hump

well you're a very fortunate individual indeed.
One of my favourite shapes that, for some reason the purists sit on the fence, but i think they look fab, particularly in black. Nice chunky looks

A like them as well a visual half-way house between the 'rossa and the 355- still erring nicely on the side of slightly vulgar

yeah but the scenery makes up for it, in fact I found myself being quite happy just pottering along in 2nd and 3rd, 6 pot and exhaust burbling away and resonating off the stone walls and village high streets

(I am due to drop sprog any day now so not allowed to go for spins by myself!
)
drove around the village this morning and this evening... but not the same!

Gutted.. the only people around here at the moment are the coffin dodgers and students who cant afford an e30

Hi, thanks for asking- had a great time cheers despite the weather for the most part being a bit poo. Went to Windermere, Cockermouth, Ambleside and several other random places that the sat-nav sent us that were mostly down single-track roads! Great fun in a Ferrari!! Stayed at Orton Hall.
Must say I found the roads very bumpy but mostly well surfaced and even the 348 managed not to ground out despite hacking along at a fair old pace for some of the time and it being stupidly low- although there were a few arse-clenching moments coming over crests to find not insubstantial drops that I wasn't sure I was going to make!!
Not sure if it's particular to Orton but all the supermarkets seemed to be miles away!! Hence driving 30-40 minutes in the pissing rain yesterday just to go to a Morrisons.
Good to see a lot of petrol stations though so at least when I was lost I never run out of gas!!

selling purely for financial reasons.. i cant really afford to keep her.. My partner and i are both in love with the car. But cant justify having her sitting there.. he takes her out for runs to keep the engine happy, and cos he loves driving her, but beginning to see her as dead money sitting there when someone could give her a good home. (I have a manky rover as a runabout)
I got her advertised at 1495 dont really want to let her go for much less than that.
Really need to come see her to appreciate her.
(rather disturbing that i call my car "her" yet call my unborn child "it"!)

yeah roads are a bit on the bumpy side... and i wish i had thought about supermarkets before i moved here!! nearest one is a small booths supermarket in windermere about 8/9 miles away but if u want a proper one like asda, its about 20 miles away.
Im just lazy and pay twice as much as i need to by shopping in spar in ambleside!

It was, but I was knackered at the end of each day as the combination of driving a former supercar in the rain and not knowing the roads was really tiring! I was hoping I'd get some cool shots like your sig but I got plenty of the car and plenty of scenery but not the two together!
I'd love to go back in the E30 though.
