I would appreciate it if you did not steal the artwork off my website and use it in your sig.

What do you think I should do?
I know he may have had the art work done but, it's in the public domain, and it's not like I have stolen it for my own website, it's just a bit of fun on here.
What should I do? After all it's only a sig.

imo, if he's done it himself or paid to have it done then he owns the copyright to it. end of story. if you had asked permission first, he may have just let you...! however, if he extracted it (like the exploded view for example) from someone else first then he doesn't own the copyright and is in the same situation as you!

could just call it time for a sig change...?

You could make your own one up, it's made up of stuff pinched from the TIS cd and another technical sheet anyhow so copyright shouldn't be an issue. Loose the rev counter bit though. Less is more

firstly he has to own the original copy right to it, if he does he has the right to enforce it in theory, oh but we come across some hurdles, first there is a jurisdictional issue, he has come to uk to enforce it through the courts, the burden lays on who ever claims, so forget it and tell him to get back in his pram! i doubt he has the time or even the money to enter into this frivoulous pursuit, its oh so easy to act hard behind a computer screen.

None the less you took artwork directly off my website, and removed markings relating to my website. Thats pretty lame. Maybe if you had asked...

Despite him photoshopping out the bulk of my work, its still mine. That jagged line running vertically though the image is still identical from that which is on my site.

It was a simple request. I was just surfing the forum, and saw his sig which was for all intents and purposes a screenshot of my website.

I asked him nicely to remove my work. I have the right to do so.

You guys can be childish and tell me whatever you want, but I know what my rights as the copyright holder are.
