I need some help. My 1984 323 Baur needs a new engine, and I have been told that a later 325 (post '88) will fit perfectly as the crank sensors are at the front of the engine so I can re-use the 323 flywheel. Any one got any views on this or advice? As this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ed
ps I'll also need an engine

Post 88 is indeed the ewepon of choice and will indeed allow the use of the existing flywheel.

you'll still need to convert to motronic, swop the looms etc over and then get it all up and running again.

best bet, buy a complete running rot box 325 and park them side by side and swop item for item.

or locate a 525E bottom end and reshell that and use your existing head/cam/injection for a nice low cost 2.7 mill and abot 190 ish BHP.

FYI I have a complete 325 coupe sitting surplus @ the mo, I'm in kent, engines sweet but the body is toast  best bid secures the beast folks...
