I'm looking for a lightweight exhaust system (single pipe maybe?) for my 325i. The events I enter restrict us to the standard manifold, but the remainder of the system is free. Does anyone have a similar set up on their track car?

build your own system? could be cheaper..... jetex seem quite a good company for making your own exhaust.

If you can weld ..... try getting a second front box (with entry and exit pipes straight through) and replace the big heavy (NOT straight through) rear box with it. Use the straps and mounting system off the old box (suitably cut and modified and welded on) to mount the new system.
I did this and it was a little bit noisier but still within the 98 decibel limit at Donington (one of the toughest) and because the box is smaller and lighter, getting the mounting rubbers on was easier, too.
I had the standard cast manifold and front pipes then ......... but I am half way through putting on my new BTB 6 branch
....... for the moment I will use the two front box system (as above). I'm expecting it to be a little noisier but hopefully quite purposeful and still legal for track days.

The Miltek systems are VERY light, the 320 system designed initially for PBMW wont restrict a 325, Niggy runs it on his 2.7 and is competitive against some of the m3's!!
