what a fcuking day iv had! going along a straight bit of road playing with a peugot thing, come to the rounabot in the center of town, went over fairly rash (50 ish) next thing i know BANG then front left wheel locks up smoke allover the place, and now i have no steering heading towards bollards and a load of cars waiting at the junction, slams on the brakes, yet another BANG PDING CRASH SCREEEEEEEEEEECH, i now have arms like arni, the car stops sideways in the middle of the road, im thinking what the fcuk happend there i hossestly thought i had a blow out, but nooooo it couldnt be as easy as that now could it!!!! put the car in to gear to remove it from the center of the road verry slowly tyred to move the car forward to get it to the side of the road and i noticed the front passenger side just raised its self right up in the air oops im thinking, so i get the car to the side and to my FCUKING horror, the front wheel is right up next to my bumper, wing creased to fcuk side skirt off, wing pod off, and a huge cloud of smoke surrounding me,

so i start to investigate what the fcuk has just happend, and the only thing i could find wrong is an absoltley FCUKED control arm the actuall ball joint that attaches to the strut, had sheerd the nut off, so obviousley, the wheel had its own plan in mind, and the plan it had was to kill me!!
but im back home now in 1 pece, so im going to have a relaxing bath, then i just need to find 1 wing, 1 sideskirt, 1 wing pod, and a control arm

heres some pics for the perv's on here (you know who you are  )

thats the million dollor question andrew mate, it just looks like the actuall nut has been forced off and mashed the threads on the balljoint in the prosess, i mean it was only m.o.t'd about 5 months ago and sureley if there was any sign of nasty play they would of said or evan failed it yeah??? im obviousley going to investagate more tomorrow when i put a new control arm on ( 40pound e.c.p yeah??) ill take more pics and see if any1 can tell WTF happend, i might sound pharanoid, but i suspect sabotage  i know not likeley is it?? or is it hmmmmm

I wonder if it's possible when it was originally put on,the nut was cross threaded, thus not having the strength it should have? :?
Just a thought :D

Probably someone removed the ball joint at some time and bu**ered up the thread with the ball joint seperator.

Nasty although it could have been alot worse.
You could have ended up hitting another car or it could have happened at high speed!
