exhaust manifold

can an exhaust manifold be powder coated, or does it get too hot even for powder coating, will this have any effect on heat transfer ,or in english will it hold in the heat and make it crack?

yeah it would need to be ceramic.. powdercoating would just melt off..

for the cast manifold cant powdercoat...could teflon coat but why...if it was a 300SL Gullwing I would understand...if its look you are after but a stainless manifold cheers

Could do with finding such a place myself, no way im paying out the extortionate price exhaust places charge, I can make one myself but not in top quality stainless, matt black mani would be different also

ceramic coating would be the best bet for a longer term finish as the VHT paint tends to fade away after a while.

Hi...went to Knebworth car show today and picked up a classic car paper and have details of a company in Shrewsbury who Vitreous enamel cast manifolds lists 4 cyl from £55 and 6 cyl from £65 (£10 return carrier+vat) 2-3 week turnaround is that of interest!
