Daft question,but why is the inside of the TB,top half of air box and airflow metre covered in oil on the inside?
Is this normal?
Looks a mess,sure hasn't been cleaned for a loooooooooooong time!
Any ideas folks?

Mr Muscle oven cleaner is great for de-carbonising engine bits, it does exactly what it says on the tin - yes, seriously.
I read your ealier post with pictures of your inlet bits and hadn't read this, so excuse the stupid comment about my guide.
