I'd love to, but i'm trying to get away from the E30. I need something a bit more modern now. I'd love a E46 M3 cab, but too expensive at the moment. I might just settle for a Merc CLK AMG cab. Just have to sell my backside a few more times!
:D

Do it mate. Smokes is not as bad as black, black and looks sexy. I've got Xenons in both mine and they are like night and day too!

Cut corners on quality to save money. The brand trades off the reputation it had decades ago. The CEO has left the company owing to the problems Mercedes is experiencing. Didn't Daimler own them?? I believe the brand is being sold off as it's struggling.

Mercedes build quality is akin to Ford at the moment. They love the rust too!!

Plus the 4 pots sound like an army of typewriters furiously typing letters for 'Points of View'

Your e46 is lovely!!

This is my E46 cab. I love it, but i've been doing the BM thing for years now and fancy a change. I was thinking of the 4.5 CLK cab or minimum 3.2 compressor. We'll see. I may have to put it all on hold cause i'm thinking of buying a 2nd house which i should have done years ago!!! :o:

The same reason why i have screens at the base of my seats. Cause i can winkeye

The car is a show car and you have to be imaginative to win anything. They dont give pizes out for having a tape player or 17" Alpina replica's :D

Anyway this is someone eles's thread so lets stop spamming it. SORRY E30BM

Buy the house mate, rent it out. That's my plan once my job takes off. Try to buy on every year if poss! Though I imagine it'll be slow for the forst 4 years and accelerate from there. I'm a long way from it though, the aim being to retire in my 40's.

The e46 is a sweet car. Problem is when you look at the competition, anything worth a look is fwd.

How about an rs4?

That's the way to go. I was talking to a mate of mine who bought a place in Ealing last year. He paid £180k and spent another £20k adding a 2nd room. The place is now worth £300k just a year later. There is nothing else that can give you that kind of return for such low risk. Like i said, i should have done it years ago, but i'm waking up now so we'll see! :)

Funny you mention the RS4 actually. I got killed by way last week. He went past me at 140mph like i was driving backwards :o:

I'm not worried about renovations. Property will appreciate long term while the mortality rate stays in the green. Whereas pensions do not perform. I was even looking at property around Sheffield, Maltby way. Lots for sale, cheap as chips. Sheffield reminds me of Bristol about 7-10 years ago, under a huge rejuvination. These outlying former mining towns will become commuter belt before long.

Until then, buy the cheap stuff up, fix it cheap. Let the DSS keep it full of tenants. The DSS will pay the rent, pay for repairs and keep it full as there are loads of dossers looking for a free home. If those scum can play the system, so can I from the other end.

RS4 is a beautiful and capable car. It out performs the outgoing m3, hence the new one being a v8. That's quite a considerable nod to BMW's apprasial of the RS4's pedigree.

Did you see Top Gear when Clarkson raced a mountail climber up a mountain? Sounds amazing too!!

(Oh aplogies for thread hijack. I love your black cab, the wheels need to be donated to me! winkeye)
