Ian's been back onto Vsport for descriptions of what we get for our money:-

Basic run is £35 and you will get power and torque (at flywheel) graphs. Gives a good indication of how the engine is running and can show up any possible problems that may not be apparent under normal driving conditions.

Full run is £45 and you will get the same as the basic run plus air/fuel ratio graph and a boost graph (if the car is turbocharged). This is an ideal option for modified engines and can also show where more power can be made and what future mods will compliment the current setup.

Prices quoted depend on the number of cars that turn up.

To get the maximum number of cars in, they have asked for no FWD cars as this means wasting time changing the equipment.

The local guys are meeting at the Lakeside at 1000, which is here:-

not sure which way would be quickest.
I can just follow the A19 all the way up,or should i journey over to the A1 and then off at the A194m ?
I think maybe the a19

you could go up the a19 then get to "testo's roundabout" (it should have that on the sign i think, it is the first roundabout you get to on the A19, all the other junctions are sliproads off the carraigeway)

then turn left (filter lane) onto the A184, then take the next exit onto the A194 (right at the roundabout past the shell garage and the lakeside is right at the next roundabout (before you go past the pub)

or alternitavely go up the a1 past washington services untill you hit the fork in the road, take the right hand lane signposted A194M and follow it straight, then go straight over the roundabout with the traffic lights and past the shell garage and then its the same as above

I might just be a spectator.

The new engine's not run in yet (but I am trying!) and the M3's off the road - had a rear tyre blow-out at 100 on the way to Gaydon and the other back tyre's got a staple in the sidewall. I've been onto Goodyear trying to blag a pair of tyres, but they're not biting.

I'll get a list of the local guys and other forums put together tomorrow.

get it run in, or drop it off here if you like Image

Chris, everyone's fine, there was no drama - just a bang and smell of rubber so we pulled over. Son was greatly impressed as we got from the fast lane to the hard sholder in seconds! Were VERY lucky though as we were slowing down because of the traffic ahead.

There's a split in the inner sidewall but no obvious contact with the suspension. Showed it to Andy and you can see where the bandings have come out.

Goodyear want a photo sent before I buy new tyres but they're only prepared to pay for remaining tread depth if I've got the receipt - which I haven't. I bought the other back tyre at the same time and told them that I've lost confidence in their product and I won't use the car. Maybe they think I'm trying it on, but this sort of thing shouldn't happen.

Only done around 80 miles on the new engine but still got jobs to - still haven't tightened those engine mount bolts because it's always raining when I'm finished work.

looking forward to this even though some halfwit good for nothing scum keyed my rear qtr panel whilst i was grafting away at work today :x

only took it to work to try and clean it before tommorow but the rain stopped that idea. cant wait to move to my new premises away from jealous thieving lowlife. nearly decided not to come when i saw it but then why should i let them ruin my whole weekend

wont cost me anything to put right as i have some leftover paint but i could do without having to do it at the moment, if id have caught em id be locked up right now along with a few of the lads who were inside my unit at the time, they have no idea how lucky they were not to be seen.

still seething...................

hi all :D
that was a good day. some intresting results
my e36 m3 evo knocked out 297.1 bhp and 282 ftlb torque
i would of like some more bhp but iam happy with the torque
does anyone know what the avis blue 3.0l m3 achieved. i would have liked to stayed till the end and watch but i had to go

best noise goes to the tuned e36 325. you could feel the vibrations through the concrete floor!
