I'm personally not a fan of these. To me it seems very dated and not as desirable as the E30s which still seem to look great all these years later. However, she does seem to be in good nick, and at that price, 'sounds' like a bargain. Or you could spend that money on your touring?

only aircon has buttons! they are 2 different things. All climate does is keep the temp constant, but it wont blow ice cold in the summer.

It's good because in an E30 your either too hot or cold particulary in the winter. Climate solves this!

Not a nice colour for an E28 IMO, Black is one of the best colours.

Interior is horrible

I like E28's, but not in that flavour.

oops :o: did I sell a 318is cheap because I didn't realise it had climate control? It would still need A/C compressor / bigger rad etc etc though wouldn't it? (that 318is didn't)

Slightly of topic... but more on e30 chat now!

No you don't need any of that A/C compressor lark!

I've got climate in my touring it's just a few little different things to a normal box! Just as easy to fit as swopping a normal heater box over.

Not sure about the colour, but besides that, lovely motor.

Definitely looks worth a punt. IMHO the E28 is a fantastic looking car, past the stage of looking plain old and starting to look very retro cool. I quite like the colour but a bit of shadowline really helps these look better (Dolphin Grey with shadowline is lovely). Good spec and manual box but its got to lose those arches!

Lovely cars to smoke around in. Great fun when traction desists too. There's a chap on here called Jamie who has a 528 with plenty of work done and some genuine alpina rims. Amazing looking car. Cannot remember the bhp for these bad boys but his was higher again. I'm sure you'd find a thread on it in 'Other BMW Chat'

I fooking hate chrome arches though. No excuses. If that really is a straight car with no major issues (can't be arsed to read the ad), it may go for about £700.

That would be me then, got 2 E28's both with aircon (Too old for Climate) if there is no blue ice button it ain't got aircon. A standard 528i has 184BHP, and my M5 has 286 BHP both have mods but neither have been on a RR yet, 528i is booked to do a run 15th Sept, so i'll keep you posted.

Oh yes i now have a full on power E30 316i Touring winkeye, see you sometime Nathan.
