help ive just been skanked by some guy on ebay, i bid on a black alpina manifold and i won. what he sent was a silver one which is the same as the one on my 88 325, . now hes telling me they are the same and hes offering to paint it black for me, so the question is what is the difference between alpina manifolds and the one supplied by bmw as standard ??
when i get a bit more time i will put the ebay url up to see if i am colourblind or not..

i think were talking inlet here, Alpina ones are more a dark grey in colour and are port matched thats the only differences. They look same on the outside but different in colour

looks just like a slightly grubby standard manifold to me. he doesnt state its a genuine alpina or even a copy/replica nor does he say its black.
i think you have just read too much into the small alpina reference in the title which is there for search purposes.
dont stress bud, can happen to anyone

the pic is a little dark but its deffo a silver manifold. if you get to see an alpina one in black there is a deffinate difference.
its still got to be worth the money just to have it as a spare to experiment on with paint of different colours/shades

lol no problem mate.
i'll be dropping of a couple of manifolds (bog standard and a port matched one) to be extrude honed (the best flowing one of the two will be extrude honed) on Monday... so in a month or two when everything is done and installed i should have some flow and dyno results from a stock manifold compared to an extrude honed modified one.
