Evening all,

Last week at Gaydon I bought a strut brace that had apparently come off an E30 M3. I wanted to fit it to my 325i Sport and to my knowledge there are no differences in the dimensions of the front suspension turrets of an M3 to a regular E30.

However, I'm starting to think there might be a slight difference because I'm having trouble getting the holes in the brace sitting nicely over the threads... THEY JUST DON'T QUITE FIT!!!!!!!

Can anyone confirm my fears?

Try jacking the whole of the front of the car up so that the so both the wheels are off the ground and try again...

Yeah tried that because I thought the turrets would stretchout a little, but it still doesn't quite go!!

I'm beginning to think that I need to drill the holes out a bit. But should this really be necessary?

It could be that it's just a cheapo item and therefore not a perfect fit..... oh I dunno! :x

Goods news is a managed to fit it today. After a lot of force and drilling the holes in the brace about 2mm bigger, it went on. It looks the part too.... haven't taken it for a test drive yet to feel any difference in ride and handling.
