I have had so many people complain about shit and polish and lepsons
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but that is harsh!Kos wrote:try either spit and polish or lepsons, 2 reputable companies who've been doing it for years

I have seen a set of wheels today that lepsons have done and the center badge has so much lacquer on them they don't fit any more. So how can that be good service

Yer I did do Neil's wheels and he was over the moon with them
Then he kerbed one of them so he bought it back and I did it again

Sometimes its better to be slightly tactful. Especially when you could very badly affect someones business. You need to be 100% sure that what your saying is correct.
Rather than saying that his work is "shit", perhaps you could point out the particular issues you have with Carlos' refurbs?

but you didnt remove the paint from around the centrebore or from around the wheel bolt holes, and this caused the wheels to come loose if im not mistaken.carlos_320i wrote:Yer I did do Neil's wheels and he was over the moon with them

No and I did tell him that after 100 miles to make sure the bolts are tight as the paint will come off
Also I dont know of another wheel refurb place that does
As I say I have just seen lepsons work and they dont remove the paint either

I don't want a row about this either but KOS should think about what he says before you put it on a public forum and damage someones living things like that should be left to PM's

Those wheels look far from f-cked to me, green????
dips, he may have been given the right code, but was he given a panel to match the paint to? You should know two pots of paint mixed by two different people have a 99% chance of being different shades. If the colour match was important why wasnt Carlos given a can of paint from a single batch?
As said above, if there is a problem why doesnt he just take the wheels back?

Chinese whispers wont solve anything boys

i have no gripe with you but the story is either getting mixed up somewhere or facts are not been told

not being funny carlos, but from what i have seen, i wouldnt use your service even if it was 15£ a wheel,
a) you take forever
b) the finish is crap
cams... well i think cams was a piss take, was told how long it took and i thought wtf? then how much you were charging, and no that was defo a piss take. i heard about the green tihng from cam but didnt see it personally, i saw the wheels at a meet in feltham, they looked ok from a glance, but you can notice the shoddynes at closer inspection, then how did you get the shade of imola wrong? i thought it was just one shade, and you cant say you cant paint plastic/metal the same shade, iirc, at gaydon, cams car was looking good, and he had chrome/plastic/metal all painted in the same shade...
anyway,, the joband wuality might be good for a 15-20£ a wheel job, taking shrt cuts and what have you and takinall the time in the world to get them done.
i know where i wont be going

No need for that Carlos, It is a discussion about wheel refurbishers. Unfortunately you do not seem to have many positive comments coming your way, I'm not going to start pointing the finger of blame here.
You are welcome, as is virtually anyone, So don't take it as a personal attack.
