Looking good Aza :thumb:

You could try the 2.7 on the auto box for a while and see if you like it, all that torque may make a nice combination if you like the auto...otherwise lob in the manual and a slipper and get it sideways

I've only just discovered this and it seems as though it is just what I've been looking for. I've taken over an '89 320i dolphin grey auto that has been in the family from new having done just 67,000 miles. I've been driving the car for about 14 months and as an everyday runabout with a lot of stop start motoring, it is fine if a tad underpowered.

I really like the auto box (getting too old to want to use both feet when driving) and don't really see the point of changing the engine, because I don't get the chance to race anywhere and value my licence too much to risk 'blow outs' on the roads. It's a bog-standard Si and until I changed to basket-weaves recently, it had the original steel wheels. There's a bit of rot on the nearside rear wheel arch and some bubbling on the offside one.

I desperately want to upgrade the bodywork and Aza's motor is what I had in mind. Being an absolute novice who'll have to pay to get any mods done, I don't even know what to buy in terms of front bumper and valance, rear bumper, skirts etc. etc. That car is exactly what I'd like to emulate (imitation being the sincerest form of flattery and all that winkeye ) so can you guys tell me what I need to get and where from?

An utter newby question I know, but I genuinely believe the car is well worth bringing up to date and retain its original appeal. Besides, she gives a lovely ride especially when approaching a bend, then kick-down and whoosh out past the apex. If I should ask this elsewhere, please let me know - it's just that I had vague ideas in my head and these pics are as close to dammit as to what I'd like to achieve.
