I have no idea what this little black bit is called under the numberplate, but seeing as I am taking the bumper off at the weekend to change the indicators, I might as well make the most of it and get it done.

The only thing I can think of at the moment is ///M or alpina as in the photo below. What are your opinions peeps? What shall I do?

I think Im right that E30s with 'air con' have that section cut out (like the for oil cooler) to help cool the bigger radiator that 'air con' E30s have.

You dont need to remove the whole front bumper to get at that bit (no idea what to call it either), just the lower Mtech valance, so you can do it at a later date. Mines off at the moment so I can get at the oil cooler easier.

Im going to put something there as well. Probably 'MPower' or similar just as a hint towards the engine.

I think the ///M done with the proper colours would be cool. Or how about e30zone.co.uk??

daryl- i thought your only taking the bumper off, you dont need to take the valence off. and go with the www.e30zone.co.uk idea 8)

Doesn't the valance come off with the bumper then??? Yeah definately thinking e30zone as long as the mods and site owners don't object....in white of course.

I did this for more airflow for my intercooler also

I think the valance does have to come off to take the bumper off. I dont think you can get to the torx bolts with it in place.
I could be wrong and I cant go and check cause my valance isnt on the car at the moment.

The valance isnt that difficult to take off - 1 bolt thingy on the front edge of each wheel arch, 4 bolts along the underside and the clips along the top edge, just below the bumper.
I done it last week on my own, took about 10mins.

alright mate!thanks for responding :D

me and daryll are thinking of getting stickers made for the front valance of our cars to promote the e30zone...

thinking something simple

like

www.e30zone.co.uk in Black and white. The black would be for my 'normal' valance and the white one for daryll's mtechII..

heres a pic to show what I mean...

Image

sorry its crap

top drawer dude!PM me a price whenever

now need to sort the twist at the bottom of my valence

btw-do you think they'd be better 'reversed' so they appear the right way round in folks mirrors?!

in that case i'll take a 'reverse' one for the front and a normal one for the back

cheers Chris
