NOT Halfords because they want £80 for one! I managed to get one from stealers for £53 so there is some margin on them for them to reduce if your clever at bartering!

The cheapest I've found so far on the net is a company called tayna electrical supplies and they've got a numax 66ah battery for £51.99 delivered.

Price seems good, what warranty does it come with though? You don't really want to be spending £52 again in 8 months time................

Local independent tyre company has always been the cheapest place for batteries for me.

As stated - a Genuine BMW battery from the dealer is only 50-odd quid. Wouldn't bother with a shonky mail order one for the same price.

I'd rather pay an extra tenner but I'm a fussy sod. A cheap looking weird brand battery is the best way to make your engine bay look crap. It also looks like you scrimp on other stuff. If I go to look at a car for sale and it has a genuine battery or a Bosch or similar you naturally assume it's been looked after. Find a Kwikfit one under there and the chances are the cars got Aldi brake pads, a Poundstretcher exhaust and Ling-Long tyres too.

Exide battery with 3 yr warranty for £42 - good enough for me!

Good enough for you, not good enough for me. That's fair enough. :D

Wherever you get the best quote, find a halfrauds within ten miles and they will price match like for like. I used to work there and im sure it aint changed. You can also get a 5yr warranty on thier calcium batteries - i do, as it gives me peace of mind with all the stop start driving i do.
