Fitted my new stereo. V pleased. Has predictably thrown up issue of speakers (only two in the front).
What size are they / what size will fit?
Any recomendations for a fairly low priced pair for general use (speach and music).
Is it worth changing the wire while I'm about it?

Hi mate, glad uv taken the first important step, lol, as for speakers, your front footwells take 5 1/4" speakers as standard so u wont have any trouble finding these, or you could do what some people have done and mount a spacer ring to fit 6" speakers. A per my sig, i have these sizes from In-Phase Audio if you are intersested, pm me if you are. Check out the XT range on www.inphaseaudio.co.uk to see what im on about, fairly cheap but very good quality stuff. Its what im using in my touring, look forward to hearin from you mate, good luck

Lol i PM'ed the other guy on this one so i might as well do it here for all to see
basically its a DIY job, here goes a step by step type thingy:
1. Use 1" MDF and cut a ring that fits the 6" or 6.5" speaker nicely
2. Sand the ring down so that doesnt sit more than a couple of mm away from the edge of the speaker mountings.
3. Screw the ring in place over the original speaker hole into the metal work.
4. Mount speaker in hole and wire up.
Hey presto! bigger speakers in footwells
Hope this helps and goes well for all who try it

Umm im confused still, what size do i need? have a look at this link -
http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search. ... age=search
its obviously out of the 5.25" & 6.5", but if you look at the inner and outer ring dimension in the listings...
