if you're talking realistically...in a few years i would like to own a 993 Turbo to replace the Coupe. If I won the lottery it would have to be an F40...raw as an e30 m3 but a proper supercar..hmmmm.

I have a heap of cars that I would like to own, unfortunately most of them are too expensive. But, and not necessarily in this order:

1. Aston Martin V8 Vantage (new one)
2. Aston Martin V8 Vantage (old 80's)
3. Aston Martin DB4 GT (or a DBR1, different cars but just 1 would be enough I think)
4. Ford GT40
5. BMW M3 CSL
6. BMW Z3M Coupe
7. BMW E30 M3, probably an Evo (I know you said after E30 but this is a car I would always want :) )
8. One that I have designed and plan to build myself
9. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI or IX, can't decide yet
10. Some sort of ferrari, maybe 250GTO :) or 360 CS
11. A Porsche 911 (not sure what sort but every raves about them so I'd better try one, GT3 RS sounds nice)

That is probably enough to keep my occupied for a while but I am sure there are more. One that I am actually thinking of buying is an E36 M3 3.0L, mostly because they are fairly quick and seem to be getting fairly cheap out here so I might actually be able to afford one.

Andy335 - cheers for sorting the link fella
For Ԛ£500 i'm a happy boy. Got a few things to sort, namely some bodywork and the diff bearings are noisy. After that, it will just be the constant list of little fixes to do and source a leather interior then funds and the missus permits!!

expensive divorce means i have come from a 4.3 pre-cat tvr griffith to an e30 2.5 cab (bought 2 weeks ago - which is excellent fun). cash permitting i would prob go for a tvr again. i know reliability aint great but 300bhp in something that weighs about as much as my left shoe is awsesome value performance for around Ԛ£10,000.
in the meantime i love my e30 - looks cool, very chuckable and rwd...that's what its all about.
in the real world, i guess i would look at a early e36 m3...values have stabilsed nicely which shows it is starting to be appreciated as a future classic

I'd like loads of different cars, but realistically I'd like an E36 M3 Evo Saloon. Although I don't think they are as much fun as an E30 :? After having driven two of my mates ones and drifting one at Silverstone Saturday just gone!!

So I really don't know.

I'd love a Caterham with a Vx Red-Top Engine, but they aren't practical...

What could I get for about 7000 pounds which is reasonably reliable, great fun, RWD, and fast as fu*k?

:(

Realistically, E34 530/40/M5 touring would do me next.
One day I'll treat myself to a 4.5 Cerbera, just a substitute for the 456 GT I'll never be able to afford although they are getting near Ԛ£40k. If I had any interest in a 'career' it might help! I might have to have a 306 GTi6/Rallye at some point as well, perfect go-kart for these country roads.

Jhonno....

Did you read the bit which said 'Reasonably Reliable' not 'You'll need AA, RAC, Green Flag, and GEM breakdown cover if you buy one' when you suggested a TVR?

I left E30 ownership last year, sold my M3 cab, had a 328i sport for a while and then got my dream car..Audi S3 with 330 bhp upgrade.

Now I miss the E30 again

How do you get 330bhp from an S3? 8O

Not the standard engine is it?

S4 chipped only managed 315bhp and that's a 2.7 :?

There has been a lot of replies saying they would have a E46 M3, but nobody has said the E46 M3 CSL that would have to be on my list along with:
Carrera GT
