Exhaust piping

Im after some piping to join up a system.. link has been posted on here befoe but a quick search hasnt brought it up..

2" inc a 90deg bend..

quick if slightly retarded Q.. when you buy piping, it all same dia.. so how do you join 'sections' together?

I used http://www.jetex.co.uk/website/custom_parts.php pipes, didn't know where else to get them at the time, quality seems fine though. Although only time will tell. They have an expanded bit at one end that the next pipe can slot into. You can then use a clamp or weld them. The Jetex clamps are not brilliant I'd look for something better there.

If the sections are all the same size then you can either buy sleeves which clamp over the outside of both bits, or run a seam weld around

jetex bits tend to be very long which it very useful!

its easier to chop down that add more.

i like the sleeve idea turbo-brown

but me and Gall are using flanges which is an option but it depends on where the bits are you joining Jhonno.

bought a load 4 bout £65.. need a tiny bit moe straight section i believe, but will know moe once my silencer arrives.. then i can position, tack, then weld me thinks

Are you having just a rear box or centre box as well?

Im going to get some of the Jetex stuff to fill the gap between the X-pipe and rear section that I have. I need to have a proper look (it was my day off today, so it was chucking it down) but I think all I need is a couple 90deg bends, a couple flanges so I can split it and a couple straight sections.
My brother has got me a centre box but Ive not seen it yet. Im not sure on the size so it may be too big to fit without causing ground clearance problems.

yeah you need 2 90, 2 45 and 2 30 from what ive done.. plus the straight bits, i think 2 1/2m bits and then another short straight section to the backbox

im not using a middle box now.. just a supersprint backbox

My rearbox should almost fit like a 2 piece M20 system, so Im hoping I only need 2 90deg bends from the end of the X-pipe to run straight back.
It should be fairly noticeable with just a rearbox fitted - Im still thinking about the side exit pipes

yup it is.. any sound clips you know of? Seem to remember one about..

my mileage is gonna be all pleasure this year so not so fussed by noise now.. tho if it gets too much attention may adjust..
