Agreed T28 hybrid is too small, the other one is chineese shite so well worth a swerve regardless of spec
Branded Garrett T34 in 60 trim for midrange and awesome torque, HX30+ for anything more or a GT37 but they are £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£
you have to decide WHAT you want before spending out, should you want lag free smooth power up to 300hp( ish) then the smaller turbos are best, but they do strangle the engine @ higher rpms due to the size of the turbine wheel and housing, regardess of boost desired.
tubo choice is hard, its the very reason there are 1000's of "T3" turbos out there, unless you have the dimentions of the wheels and housings, you'll never be sure of what is what. Holset manufacture over 400 versions of their HX35 series, the actual spec dependand on final application, but they are all HX35s, see where I'm going with this ?
unfortunatly, unless you follw Alex( Turbo-Browns) mantra of twins on eveything, you cant have it all.....
Small turbos are great, just dont expect 300+ HP , monster torque though and great "road cars" dont chase peak HP and torque figures dude, the area under the graph is whats important.
I dont have the dyno to hand on this PC , but my SE on stock CR with 5.5psi of boost gave 220 lbs/ft of torque from 1809rpms to 5200 rpms, but struggled to to break 200 HP, the figures do an injustice though, she was(is?) an awesomely quick and economical car, and lethal in the wet.
Horses for courses, I got bored and went the other way, not quite finished the job yet though so the Jurys out , for now
