Can't wait to get them into my Touring!
Should bring my power upto nearer 160BHP now.
Cheap tweak too considering what you get for chips / cams etc.

Has anyone actually fitted these? Why the negative vibes?
Do they not work or something?

i wouldnt even entertain them, if they worked i wouldnt have bothered spendin a few grand, so far, on my turbo conversion, i would have just strapped a large hairdryer to my inlet.............. no offence mate try it but i cant see how a little electric fan is gonna force feed a 2.5 6 cylinder motor. you might as well blow down the inlet..

But why would they make and sell them if they didn't work?
Are people just being bitter beacuse it's a cheap way of getting a bit more power?
How they work makes sense - I'll wait to try them and then refund them if I don't see an improvement.

I've just read some other threads about them.
Looks like nobody has actually fitted them so why all the doom and gloom?
Bet they work fine - see you at the lights!

Why do you think mate? If some people could make money selling dog shit they would!M16 wrote:But why would they make and sell them if they didn't work?
And because people that dont know about this sort of thing buy them.
Offer people something cheap and promise them a huge benefit and it will sell.

do you remember the chips that were selling for £40 and you attached them with some wires????
all they did is make the engine run extra hot as if on idle all the time so they pumped more fuel through.
eventually killing your engine.
your fan thing is just a way of making money.
sorry dude THEY DONT WORK!
have a go if you want but............sorry man they got you.
get your money back and buy a zone chip or big bore throttle bodies?
if its a 320i put the 325i throttle body on it?

Because they are cheap to make and can be flogged on ebay for£100M16 wrote:But why would they make and sell them if they didn't work?
No, we're just sorry that a zoner bought two before checking here for threads on the subject. Are people just being bitter beacuse it's a cheap way of getting a bit more power?

How they work _appears_ to make sense - until you remember that a 2.5l engine working at 6000 RPM sucks in a hell of a lot of air as it is. Your electric motor won't keep up with that airflow as let alone increase the inlet pressure. The killer is that an electric motor is only about 40% efficient so you can see that even if you did have a motorpowerful enough to boost charge pressures, you'd be losing morepower from the engine than you gained.
Sorry mate, try for a refund before you open the box and give them an excuse to ignore you.
