facelift bumpers on pre facelift car!

Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

anybody hav any ideas if this is possible i hav the pre88 crome bumpers on mine and really want face lift ones

i think it was talked about before being really hard , but can it really b hard ???

fronts are easy.
You need to change the front valance to a later one and the the front bumper as long as you have everything off the donna car will go on.
rears will go on but they wont line up on the arce properly as i think the arches are different between the pre and post facelift cars.

correct me if im wrong someone

On the head there Richy M8

rear arches are lower on the post 88 cars and the shape is altered too.

It can be done though , I've seen a couple that have been, its only the early headlamps/rear lamps that gave them away TBH.

i had a late mtec kit on an early 316 a few years ago just put up wit the gap along the rear of the bumper. from the front you couldnt tell it was an early shell from the rear you could though

thanks for ur replies everyone my arches are rusted away so if i replace them with later ones am i right in thinking that the backs will look right or is a different part of it???

i think ill try wacking a set bumpers on and see wot it looks like lol ill post my findings if any1 else is interested
