??turbo oil return question??

Hey, im half way through a turbo conversion on my 325. I am now stuck on the oil return pipe. Taking the sump off looks like a huge job!

Can i weld a pipe on to the sump whilst its on the car, or is there too much risk?

Or could i plumb the return into a different location thats a little easier to get to? (for example one of the oil pipes running to the oil cooler??

Sump Offf Jon, its the only way to do this M8

you could route it to the vertical oil breather/return under then inlet but its a bad idea.

Right 1st time is the way to go.

the oil cooler is a non starter too, both sides of the line are pressurised dude.

There ain't any shortcuts, sump off is the only way.
And remember to drill to hole up enough so oil has free route to go. One option is to drill the hole to the block where air-conditioner's compressor mounts are.
