Think it would have to be from the same manufacturer

E.G.
Alpine av headunit and alpine satnav or pioneer av headunit with pioneer satnav
They have different connections on the cables etc
Could be WRONG though

Just remembering what a dealer mentioned when they sold me my Alpine Satnav unit for very silly (would have been too rude not to buy)money.
It was classed as "ex demo" but hadn't been out of the box as they didn't have an Alpine AV headunit to demonstrate it.

Pioneer do a all in one unit called the Avic X1, which has a built in Sat Nav and DVD player and the usual works. Not cheap though at over £1k. I had a set until some c@nt broke into my car and stole it. Stupid thing is it comes with a brain that operates the unit and the tosser left it behind so the screen is no good to him anyway as it wont work without the brain. :mad:
