[img]BMW E30 325i Convertible 017.jpg
Hi Guys, a newbe here. I've just got a 1989 E30 325i convertible thats going to need a fair bit of TLC, one of the things i have in mind is a respray but want to sort out the body kit first but keeping things origianal.
I think the car is a limited edition motorsport in macoa blue as thats what it says in the history.
So the questions are
Are the front & rear bumpers original to this car?
Is it it possible to get side skirts to match?
Ive tryed putting some pictures up but failed! - if anyone can tell me an easy way to put pictures up?[/img]

I have limited knowledge but I think thats a tech 1 kit which is fitted, however, I thought that 87 was the facelift year which would mean it should be a tech 2 kit

That looks like a chrome e30 to me. As its a cab the "87 rule" doesn't apply. Right bodykit and a nice car by the looks of it.
Snoops- Motorsports had the option to have the m tech 2 kit fitted, it didn't come standard I don't think.

Facelift came to cabrios 90/91...
The cabrio in the picture is pre-facelift with mtech1 bumpers / spoilers. Sometimes there are side skirts for sale on ebay but they are quite rare. Even more rare are mtech1 side skirts for cabrio, they are different than sedans side skirts..
All cabrios have "newer! wheel arches (on sedans rear arches are different pre-facelift <-> facelift) so fitting mtech2 kit is easy if you have all the parts. Rear-bumper needs some fabricating or alternatively you can change rear lamps to bigger facelift-lamps + all the sheet metal parts so rear bumper fits well.
I'm fitting full, original M-tech2 bodykit to my 1987 cabrio, here are some pics:
