I've just had a look on Auto trader (only 5 cars national) price varies from £1325 up to £1989, but all these cars were '92-'94 year and not as late as your Dads so it may be worth a bit more.

£2000 sounds about right, I'd advertise it at £2250.

I'd love a 540i but I don't want to spend more than £1000, do I get a Zone 50% discount? :D

Whats the mileage????

Sub 100k and as straight as it looks and sounds would see it at 2.5k I reckon. 100k to 140k about 2k, much more and people get scared, 1500 tops. Agree with Si if it was a manual it would be more desirable and if it was a tourer, i might have been interested.

Right colour though, I've a real soft spot for the 34's. I had 2 of 'em and they were the best cars i have ever owned without any doubt.

only 35 manual tourings came to the uk, in rhd so i am told. A highly desireable car imo, but a manual saloon is appealling also. The fuel economy isn't though

I found a manual saloon in the trader the other week

avus blue, bmw indivdual interior, grey with blue piping, aircon cruise usual spec
110k
t&t
full custom stainless system :D rest of the car was standard
good service history too
£1900 ono

And so executive!
