Got and fitted the v. neat bmw tweeter pods but b4 removing the radio/head unit just like to know where the factory installed wires for these speakers terminate inside, The same coloured wires from the speakers pass through the door. I traced them passing the foot well speakers heading off towards the centre. Anyone else been down this road?

HI, did you find out were the wires go? i have the same problem, can find wires leaving the door through flexible rubber gromit, but cannot find them inside the car at all! the wires on the drivers side are grey with a green spiral and grey with a yellow spiral. Please let me know if you got sorted. :(

The wires for the tweeter pods should pass through the door and then terminate just behind the footwell speaker. You may have to dig around a bit.

surely without a crossover you wont be able to use the tweeters anyway as they will be getting the full frequency range...prepared to be corrected here though :?

A simple capacitor will do it.

tweeters justa tweeter, i have a set of components, they come with 6"mids and tweeters with a seperate crossover to split the sound for both :D

have found it really lifts the sound out of the footwells...tweeters =

Hi I got a set thingking all I had to do was plug them in.No doubt the wires have been chopped over the years and probably be a nightmare of a job to sort out.I put a new wiring loom in for the radio but that never helped the tweeters.

think you best off getting a set of components, you can get some with 5.5" mids that will fit in your footwells and put the new tweeters where the crappy nokia ones were, they will have there own crossover so all you need to do is wire them to your sterio like normal set of speakers

anyone got any recommendations for replacing the nokia tweeters -just got the tweeters out of a breaker!

Are the tweeters wired in parallel off of the front speakers?

Some standard tweeters have a resistor soldered onto them, so no need for a cross over.
