in the process of trying to sort a diff out. im looking for some information, what sort of power are the e30 diffs good for? is there a different between small and large case?
i need something that will not break with lots of power, but dont want to use a m5 as there very heavy.
and can the diffs be rebuilt to a 2way drift style diff, what types do the drifters on here use. thanks.

Hiya, i've machined several sets of ramp angles in lsd out of 325's i used a ford clutch pack in mine the ramp angles made it lock up superbly well too. if you're interested i could be tempted to machine yours.

Alter and re- harden the Ramp Angles to 70-30.

Fit the Ford Atlas 4 clutch pack/ set to 40% lock up

If your going for big power in an E30 and wanting an LSD - why not sorce an E28 LSD, mostly come in 3.07 irc - all that's needed doing is a change of back plate for the E3o one and a new back plate gasket.

Neil.

if your wanting a decent LSD, ditch the shitty OEM style and get a plate style locker. TranX or Gripper. i suppose an quaife ATB would also be mucho better than standard, albeit not as good as a plate type.
