somebody was selling a 325i box and I asked if it would fit my m40. I doubt it would but thought I'd ask?

cheers widge. bastards, why'd they make 3rd gear so long. I don't wanna have to change my engine just because the gearbox sucks. any options? maybe swap the internals (some of) of the 40/42 boxes?
