ive just booked a ferry to calais, i intend to drive straight outta france, into belguim, into germany and later maybe into holland
i am going for eight days, any ideas where to go, any tips etc about this trip are welcome, will take a small tent, or find somewhere cheap to stay in different locations, i will service my touring before i go
berlin and hamburg are a must, maybe koln, eindhoven
i will out drink any german/dutchman
anyone done this before in a e30

so what parts are you bringing back lol if you make it to berlin there is a pub over there run by a bloke from southampton if i can remeber the name i'll post it was over there working for two days has some good night life there

Neil,320 touring needs to read this thread,he's done quite a lot road trips.

Where to go though,no idea really,but I do know,don't stay in Hotel America in the Hook of Holland,it's a shithole.

The Reeperbahn is fine. Look for Hein Hoyer strasse (opposite Burger King and the Cop Shop), plenty of good bars down there like Lunacy etc. For grub, look for the Hesburger place (ask) as they do a tasty burger, much better than McShite.

Unlike a lot of these places you'll be pretty safe there - leave your wallet and phone elsewhere, just take 60 Euros with you.

when i whent there with the lads on stag weekend we were walking around looking for a decent pub, so we apporached 2 attractive young ladies, tight jeans, moon boots and puffer schott jackets ( very counsil but i'll blame it on german dress sence) and just casually asked them where's good to go and have a good time.........

thier reply was...............

"come with me, for 60 euros you WILL have a good time"

eventually we found a decent bar, then progressed to a club. upon paying entrance fee we were given a drinks voucher, and a jonny...........

Trip to the nurburgring for a week end then off to amsterdam for a few days
