Toyota apparently revised the torque settings later on from about 54ft/lb to 80 odd

I think I would look at a quick overhaul of the engine anyway and some new mains and rings etc before you start winding the boost up, because let's face it, you're not gonna leave he boost at standard settings! :D

Mate if I was to do it. I would put it in a cheap stripped out 316 shell and take it to the pod a few times for a cheap bit of fun. I wouldnt do too much to the engine if I could restrain myself.

For wallet reasons it would be a good idea to get it rebuilt to high spec and put it in the tech1 but I've decided to keep and mod the M20.

so whos doing the 7m :P i personaly went for the 2jz due to it be far more easier to mod, get parts for, and the limits of the stock engine. never really loked into 7ms. couple down here in aust pulling big number but they are worked internally big time

I've been bleeting on about the 7M for ages and may finally be getting myself in order to do a swap, just waiting to hear if i have some space to store the parts car and if I have then it will be full steam ahead. I've chosen the 7M because of how cheap the donor cars are here and the fact that I'm probably not likely to be going over 400BHP which is all easily achievable on standard internals.

There are some 7M's here in the UK putting out over 800BHP, but have got different pistons & rods etc, bits from the USA are cheap as chips for them.
