Hi All,
Does anyone know what might be wrong with the headlamp adjusters on my 325i cab??? Probably best to leave well alone if my experience of water and pipes is anything to go by but I am just one of those people that does'nt like having something which won't work.
Thanks
Si.

Sorry forgot to add.... changed the clutch master cylinder today and although the clutch is working fine I can't get diddly squat out of the bleed nipple on the slave...must be an airlock but what can I do to bleed it through properly....anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Si.
Thanks

Maybe it's just me, but I found it wasn't necessary to bleed the clutch when I changed my master & slave! Just pump the pedal for a while (& keep topping up the reservoir) til it's drivable, & then the remaining li'l bit will come out with a bit of use / time. Was gonna bleed mine but I needed to go somewhere that afternoon & by the next day it didn't need doing.
Did you change the slave cylinder too? Chances are it'll go soon otherwise...
Headlamp adjusters are a notorious 'mare; I'd avoid if I were you!
& welcome to the zone!

Thanks for the welcome, forgot to say the'Zone' looks great, really easy to use.
Only replaced the master but the slave looks like it has been replaced fairly recently. I have driven mine too so thgink you are right that it is best to leave it a while, will try a bleed in a week or so.
Shame about the lights though.
Anyone know of any inexpensive solution to replace the front fogs, mine are smashed / rusted out. They are the Mk1 ones fitted on my 1990 cab...do you know why they are different to the std car of the same era?
Cheers

Headlamp adjusters can be replaced by the electric ones off an E36 or E34 with a bit of time and trouble.
Clutch can be a right b*****d to bleed. Either use a pressure bleeder or reverse bleed it by connecting a piece of hose between the front left brake caliper nipple and the clutch slave, opening both nipples and proceeding as if you were bleeding the brakes. Flush the dirty fluid out of the brake caliper and nipple before you connect the pipe to thr clutch slave.
