Hi zimmerbimmer, will this short shifter kit be a direct fit in my '90 325i sport? I asked a mechanic at my local garage about these and he says i'll have to replace the whole gearbox if i want new shifting gear!?
Please tell me it is possible as i'll have one

It is just a shortened version of the lever which is a direct replacement.
I Reckon the mechanic either wanted to put you off or wanted to charge you the earth.

Fitted this just now. Pretty straightforward job. Didn't need to bend the selector rod.
Wasn't sure what to expect, but it feels loads shorter than before. I love it.
Thanks again Paul.

Off the top of my head around £450 per manifold section (comes in two lots of 3)
But I will confirm tommorrow as I could be way over the price or perish the though
way under

Hello Zimmer, would you be able to tell me how much it would cost to post the kit to N. Italy? I've decided to postpone all business with with my local dealers... indefinetly. The parts guys are all d!cks because I butcher there language on an everytime I speak to them basis.
Thanks,
Aaron
