Help Required - Detailing my 330ci

I want to detail my 330ci very soon - however I'd like some advice on products to use an in what order.

I'm into keeping my cars clean and it only gets used at the weekends, so the finish I want doesn't have to be really hard wearing - as I tend to clean cars quote often anyway.

The car in question is metallic sapphire black.

What I propose to do is;
- wash with fairy liquid
- Clay the car
- Autoglym super resin polish
- Meguiars Gold Class wax

- Autoglym glass cleaner on windows and headlamps
- Autoglym super resin on the wheels.
- Meguiars wet look finish on the tyres.

Would you have said this is a good order to do things in, and that the products are right?

The reason i'd use super resin after the clay is its slightly abrasive - and gives a nice smooth finish - prior to a gold class wax.

I want to do this by hand - I'm not into cable polishers.

why mix and match , i found that autoglym doesn't work well with other products

i still use the the autoglym super resin polish with thier top coat gloss sealant (what ever its called) and get a realy good finish

i never got on with the autoglym top coat sealant - it never appeared to add anything to the super resin.

whereas gold class is great. yuo can really see the difference straight away.

I do have the sealant (extra gloss protection) - I just like working with the meguiars better.

Agree with Kos, Use the AG EGP as it leaves a reasonable finish and is nice and durable.

Megs stuff is ok, but the durability is shite, Yeah you may want to clean it every week but do you want to wax that often?

This would be my procedure with what you have (Adding the intensive tar to your collection, It's only about £6 and is great stuff)

Wash with fairy,
Wipe lower half down with AG intensive tar remover,
Clay,
Wash again
AG SRP.
AG EGP x 2

cool. thanks for that. I've used the intesive tar remover and use as and when its required.
