just back from crail and heres how it went,
before we even met up my mate got pulled in his granada cossie but nothing came of it, on our way 4 cars in the convoy got lost so that left 4 of us, all with cb's. got some good tailswing coming out a petrol station to find the plod coming in the opposite direction so had to take evasive manouvers.
got there and it was absolutly pi55ing it down so spent most of the day in a tent.
on the way home the granny got pulled again and wasnt allowed to leave till he took the window tints off the front doors, the 2 saxos got pulled doing 110mph on the motorway and we think weve all been caught speeding by a mobile trap

worst journey EVER!

Re the caught by a mobile trap, was it a speed gun type or a camera?

I thought they had to stop you at the time for a speed gun type, as they have no proof otherwise of what speed you were going?

Not surprised the Saxos got done....whoever was driving was asking for it, they were in a Saxo!

was it a matt black nova? i seen that one do a few runs

ps it gets worse, noticed today big scratches on the roof from where i thought it'd be easy with it being wet just to slide the cb areial off rather than pull it :x most should polish out though

nah m8 it's a blue one with a kit and stuf.Ses Sri on rear window but has a 2.0 engine in it.Not running well at all at the moment but it's the second fastest nova in scotland running around 200bhp.Was second fastest because the fastest was running nitrous.Im sure he was there. His brother has a 190bhp mi16 rally car engined 205.Not sure if it was there though as the fuels costing too much at the moment.

still could be buggered on the speed.

if it was out the back of a van likely it was linked to a vidio device.

thats the normal way.

!

doh!

If you get nabbed by the radar gun pointing out of a van, then these are mobile speed cameras and they don't have to pull you.

What will tell you for certain or not if you or your mates are going to get stung is the law are obliged to serve you with a piece of papers by post or hand delivered within 14 days of the offence, this is called a "notice of intended prosecution. If you don't get that by the expiry of 14 days then you are probably safe. I am assuming the traffic laws and procedure are the same there north of the border but can't be certain.

think there is a website somewhere called the association of british drivers, look it up as I am sure there are some links to some decent no hassle legal advice online.
