nice work barry, the cloud photos look really good. was going to get some of mine now its outside but this damn weather will only allow rain shots
. plus its covered in flys and dust from my little drive yesterday.needs a proper wash and wax before the photos.
gino, why do you think you wont make gaydon? was thinking that a tech 2 lineup wouldnt be complete without your stunner, although in reality theres little chance of us all parking up in a row due to the size of the display area.

Tech 2's would look stunning together Mat I agree, but there's something ongoing which may conflict with the trip. I need to have another look.

Si. How about we get in front of Barry and as we enter gaydon, get them sideways in the car park? All that gravel!!! Do you think he'd kill us?
Actually i'm a bit worried re the trip to Gaydon. Mine's started smoking a bit heavy especially on start up. I just havn't had time to fit my new head and i doubt if I'll get a chance before Gaydon. I'm sure it's stem seals.

i don't seem to have 5 minutes to spare at the moment! We have the house on the market and are busy viewing others at the same time (although not much seems to be moving and all thats on the market is all the old shit no one else has wanted either!). My wife is setting up a jewellery business at the same time. Can you believe I went to Biejing last week....for the day!! this was just to touch base with a few suppliers and we are back out there next month for 5 days. Tonight she is having her first "taster" party here so I've been banished to the PC to set up the spreadsheets etc. At the same time I have work and that at the moment is busy to say the least and we also have a 7 year old to entertain!! Every weekend is taken up with Gymnastics, Tennis or get togethers with friends that are fun.....but don't get the grass cut, cars cleaned, heads replaced etc etc.
I think the head is better left till the winter lay up. HOPEFULLY I will then have my double garage to work in and can take my time over it. I have everything I need. The head is all assembled bar the cam and rockers and I have the biggest bag of goodies to go with it on the bench including the belts, tensioner, stat, all the gaskets, studs the lot. I'd love to get stuck into it but I just want time to finish and clean things while it's all apart. Plus my 13 button OBC turned up from Spadge today.

Oh yeah. it still goes like a train (albeit a smoky one). It's kinda lost it's tickover as well so I'm figuring that if oil is burning on the valve seat it could be a burnt valve as well. It will be at Gaydon, It's in Ron Parishes line up again this year. the shot below was last year.

Basically for the last couple of years he has a line up of rare or nice examples in a line near his gazebo thingy. Mail him via the club. Tell him you've been speaking to Trevor with the white cab and tell him about yours. You'll get in the line up no hassles. Have you seen his Brilliant Red Sport? It's on about 130k now but is superb.

I dunno about mailing him, would be a bit rude by blowing my own trumpet, these sort of things are better when your recomended and i dont know if the standard of mine is up to scratch, you can give me your oppinion on wed. I did see a very clean red sport last year, maybe it was his one, does his one have a beige interior?B7 wrote:Basically for the last couple of years he has a line up of rare or nice examples in a line near his gazebo thingy. Ron won't mind you emailing him! he's a E30 fan and will always add you to the line up (In fact I'm marshalling this year, so i could keep my eye out for you!) His sport does have a beige fabric interior.

Ok i might drop him a line with a few pics. What sort of time do they start letting display cars in? Was his sport used for a buying guide in tbmw mag about 6/7 years ago?E30Mark wrote:Ron won't mind you emailing him! he's a E30 fan and will always add you to the line up (In fact I'm marshalling this year, so i could keep my eye out for you!)
