Engine Cuts

On a few occasions now, usually when about to overtake something, the engine almost dies for a second or two. This has happened when changing down for a lower gear, usually second. So the revs are quite high, the effect is, the revs suddenly drop, and then a second or two later they come back.

I have a UKChipped chip in at the moment, not sure whether it has anything to do with this. I also have a zone chip so I might put that in and see if it still happens.

What about the o2 relay? My old sport did that for a while until I cleaned it up. It's found in the wee plactic cover on the nearside along with 2 other relays. I just gave the contacts a good rub with sandpaper. Worked fine !!!
