Just wanted to see how do you prevent swirl marks and small scratches while washing your cars, especially black ones. I am getting tired of home washing. I am using two buckets method, mitt and Sonax products but still have swirls visible in sun.
I used before to wash my car in selfservice but I am not pleased with cleaning and been little afraid from high pressure on new paintjob.
Anyone having simillar problems?
Also wanted to ask...
what products do you use to clean and maintain your interior plastic (dash, console...)?
I am sick of trying these so called ''cleaners''.
Used Armorall Green wipes but they dry out the plastic and looks awfull, the Yellow wipes are to shiny and also bad.
Now I tried with sonax cockpit reineger in bottle, but is fairly hard to apply on surface, always forget some parts on dash and then looks like full of spots, also dries out quickly.
Is this baby wipes cleaning true? If they really do the job, I''ll get some Nivea cream ones tommorow

If the swirls are already there, You will need to polish them out.

You are on the right lines to minimise the risk of inducing more swirls. When drying thecar, try not to drag the towel across the panel, pat dry it instead.

Interior plastics - I use Einszett products. Leave a nice matt sheen like the OE trim has.
