No Kos, front spliter needs to stay black thank you, i like it like that
Rear valence did look alot better after a good scrub, should have taken the rear shot later in the day lol. That rust on the rear does need sorting though.

Nothing major, some Alpine component speakers and amp with a 10" Vibe sub box. Fairly standard sony head unit.
Cheers fella, nothing in the rear shelf then?

Nice one Oz, car looks sweet now. Rear end works well with the various council mods you've done. The black azevs look really good in the flesh, but haven't come out very well in the photos for some reason.
Must be good to get back in an e30, and even better that it doesnt smell of wet dog and get your feet soaked whenever it rains

Just had a look through all the pics of the original car, slight armco-related mishap and reshell - looks great!
I do love the front end of the new car, the black detailing sets it off nicely. What headlights did you fit to it?

Cheers Ben, the headlights are a DIY smoked job.
There is a guide on how to make these in the Articles Tech section or you can do a search.

Ah cheers mate, I'll check it out. Getting some inspiration for my silver one!
Respect for you driving your car - minus front end - all the way back from Germany. I had an off at Breidscheid in my 205 last year but fortunately only scraped it along the armco. It somehow managed to literally explode the dizzy though and I ended up driving it home with the most pikey set of random HT Leads that looked like they were from the '70s, and a completely unknown dizzy from the scrappy near the F1 circuit. Not sure I would've attempted to drive back had the car been a foot shorter though

Heh fortunately I just scraped it (at about 50mph!) so all I got was a scratch on the corner of the rear bumper and an 80 Euro bill from the kind people at the Nordschleife - not quite as horrific as yours! Don't think I could've come out any better from that really as Breidscheid is the one corner on the track with an exit road so when the car wouldn't start they just pushed me off rather than getting the ADAC truck out and closing the circuit!
Billage:

I felt a bit for the English chap paying his bill at the same time as me. He'd just written his Saab 900 Turbo off at Brunnchen and was setting a 2000 Euro fire ablaze on his credit card for the privilege! Poor guy.
Where abouts on track did you lose it mate?

Hatzenbach (spelling lol) my bill was 2000 euros too plus the recovery truck, seems like a nice round sum for us brits
Luckily i had my flexible friend with me, one good thing, i got to finnish off my lap in a police car
Sounds like you got off lightly but all good though, i wouldnt wanna have a big moment in a 205 out there.
Will your e30 be doing the ring at all Ben?

Yeah seems to be the general sum for a major off over there! I've heard that figure banded about a fair bit on the forums.
As it happens I'm off to the continent starting tomorrow for a bit of a tour with a mate which includes a trip to the German/European GP next weekend at the 'Ring. We'll be getting a few laps in on the Monday afternoon but I've decided to be sensible and take my folks Astra Estate rather than the Beemer as it's largely untested at this point (and as of tonight has no exhaust) plus I'd probably bin it.
Shame really as it's crying out for a 'Ring sticker. I guess the Vauxhall will have to return with one on it instead
I'm sure it'll make a trip at some point in the near future though.
Do the Zone lot here organise any trips out there at all? I've been with 205GTiDrivers the past couple of years...

Yes there are normally 2 - 4 zone trips out there a year which Davenotouring arranges and its a really good bunch of lads that go and always a good crack when i have gone.
I think there may be one in september or october.
Sounds like you have a great weekend lined up, you can still sticker up the beemer when you get back, the driver has been and thats the main thing

Heh I'd prefer to sticker it up when the car's been so it'll have to wait for a bit. Hopefully it'll happen sometime this year though!

Keep an eye on the meets dude, i am sure there will be another trip this year through the zone.
I must admit i have stickered up my new car, technically 70% of the car has been around the ring, engine, gearbox, dif, wheels, suspension, interior and brakes, only the shell hasnt been on the ring.
Is this cheating

Bumpage alert!
This car just got better! Cupkit springs off my touring, and scorpion twin outwardly rolled tailpipes, my old back box of the touring again!
And some proper rims................................what do we think i'm loving it. And another wicked mod coming up soon i hope which we will all love!
Shit pictures but it's looking right on the money me old mucker!
Finsihes the car perfectly and with the springs it's dropped the back down and given it the perfect ride height without being too low!
