Hi The locking wheel nut on my wifes Beemer is fooked.I have the locking nut but the inside is worn as the last person to put the bolt on has over tightened it and the bolt just turns without turning the nut. What is the best way to get it out please.

If oem wheel locking nuts go to your dealer with old one (should have a number on it from 1 - 40)

Take log book and id and they can order you a new one for less than £4

can also use a slightly smaller socket and hammer it over the nut and undo.
will probably need new wheel nuts after using this method. 8O

if you get really stuck you could try taking all of the other wheel nuts out, get a block of wood and a big hammer, put the wood on the inner rim hit it a few times and rotate the wheel, that should make the wheel nut cum loose. :D

Hi The nut that inserts into the bolt on the wheel is ok, its the head on the nut that is fooked. When I inserted the bolt into the bolt head it has turned in the head stripping it as the bolt has been over tightened with an air gun.

In that case it would be a drill out job or get a socket to fit over the bolt and remove it if that does not work then hammer and chisel it off. then order a new bolt for less than £4

:D :D

Drill a hole in the bolt and use an "easyout" tool. I can post one to you for a shot if you need it.
