building oil pressure

hi all ive just put my new rebuilt engine in my car and ive been told to build up the oil pressure but how do i no its built up enough as i dont want to start it and damage the engine

is it when the oil light goes out as it built up very quick 15 mins

but my mates took him 2 or 3 hours but he had his spark plugs in
where i was told to leave mine out

any tips so i dont damage anything

Leave the plugs out and crank the engine on the starter until the light goes out.

That's it, the most nerve wracking part of your first start
