Where did you go Saturday night, Gordon?
We went for a meal with Lisa and Paul, the wife and Dieseasel Paul - with the E36 TDS turd - at the Griffin in Newquay, mate. Then back to the B&B and sat in the bar drinking till late. The landlord was the barman too, and he was in no rush to get to sleep, think we went to bed about 12.30. Would have been later, but the lack of sleep on Friday night was taking its toll...
Wandered round Newquay Sunday morning, looking in the shops, then went to Trago Mills at Liskeard. Headed home from there, got back about 7.30pm

Currently slumming it in an E46 Touring
was great to meet you all and i had a fantastic time despite everything. Ethan was fine after a few hours napping on the way to lands end and back. Saturday night we put him to bed at 8 and he slept though till 7 the next day and has been good as gold since. Still don't think the missus has recovered from the convoy down though.. To say she used to be a girl racer she certainly makes a terrible passenger!gortour wrote:Hope Ethan is better now, obviously very unhappy with his upset stomach on Friday night. Well done for surviving the night with him.tezk wrote:cheers chris! Baby ethan loved the attention and we all slept 8pm till 7am saturday in a van above perranporth (where we staying for rest of the week).. Would say more thanks but this phone keypad is a pain to use.. Just thanks again guys! Certainly a pleasure meeting you alltailoutcharlie wrote:well done again to tezk for managing a night in a tent in the rain with a poorly (and rather cute) baby ethan.
think hes still down here somewhere actually
As said, nice to see the people I've met before again, and nice to meet a few new faces too. Not too bad a weekend, but weather a pisser, if you pardon the pun.

Snapped a mount on the diff case, just as we were going for a saturday afternoon jolly. Inconsiderate b*stard. So we went to the pub instead.

Will have a look underneath at the weekend (thankfully it isn't my only car anymore, so it can sit on the drive until I can be ar$ed to fix it!). The main mount (where the big bush goes) on the diff case snapped, along with one of the driveshafts ripping itself out of the diff... it's just a big mess at the mo - I'm mainly crossing my fingers that it hasn't knackered anything on the shell.

The pre-karting CRB and SOR checks were very poor. A number of children are now in counselling following their traumatic encounter!

Looks like you all had a good time.....if a little wet!

There's $hit loads more pics, just couldn't be bothered to upload them all...
Will be having a look under my car tonight if the weather's ok - just hoping everything broken is a bolt-on, rather than part of the shell
Thoroughly p'd off with it at the mo, which just means I'll end up spending money on my VW instead! Should be looking for a new LSD though I suppose.
Nobody found this worrying then? What exactly are they looking at?

Oh bugger. As you say hopefully its just the diff casing thats fucked. Iirc and am understanding you correctly you could just swap the back plate over with another and keep your slipper. Aggressive driving the cause?

Who knows - depends what caused it in the first place & what damage the driveshaft has done on the way out...Jon_Bmw wrote:Oh bugger. As you say hopefully its just the diff casing thats ******. Was driving like a bl**dy saint. Which was nice - I don't want to think about it going on the rather rapid trip back from Le Mans.

Really pissed off we couldnt make it - a mix up at work eventually gave me the weekend off, but not Kim. We found out on Monday that she should of had the weekend off as holiday anyway
The Boss and personnel dept got a right bollocking for that
