That's because the back end hadn't been compressed/bounced after me messing with it and having it jacked up etc.
^^ What he said! ^^

The rear sits 'slightly' higher than the front anyway (60/40) exaggerated even more with the Tech 2 front bumper/valance.

It's back to normal ride height now after a 50 mile drive home, but I do quite like the slightly 'nose down' stance on this car. Makes it look more aggressive.

Don't like it when the rear of a car looks lower than the front....makes it look like you've got shagged rear suspension or a few bags of concrete in the boot (or both!) The slightly raised rear also means I can load the car up without it rubbing out. Useful on an estate car really!

Being my every day 'jack of all trades' car, it does have to retain an element of practicality! :? Otherwise I'd be tempted by the forces of the Dark Side and my matt lust would be getting the better of me!

I can put an m20 with gearbox attached in my car and it doesnt rub out... If its dropped low enough, it cant drop anymore winkeye

Hi all.

Just a quick q.

I have a set of the reinforcement plates/gaskets and am fittting them soon. Just wondering which side they are surposed to go, in car /in wheel arch? this thread has confused me slightly.

Sorry if im being stupid.

cheers

On the top - like this:

Image

I only fitted some underneath to reinforce where the top mount had ripped through the bolt mountings.

The top mount itself will sit nicely against the turret on all other cars - the plate is put on top to add strength around the area where the top mount nuts are tightened (if that makes sense?? Stops them pulling through....)

HTH?

Bruce.

good to see you got it sorted bruce and massive kudos to oldskool for being a most supportive zoner. :thumb:

hope this has gone some way to restoring your love of the e30, you sounded a little disspondant (spell) during your phone call the other day.

Thanks Matt..... :D :D

Between you and Dameon, you managed to restore my faith in all things E30! 8)

Sorry if I sounded pi$$ed off on the phone (disspondant is too polite! :P ) but thanks to your reassurance and Dameon's amazing help, I'm back with grin!

I'm afraid you'll still have a role to play in the future of this car - you know roughly what....but I have to save up first winkeye

Thanks again for the chat and the moral support - mucho appreciated Dude.

Regards for now,

Bruce.

P.S. Will call you later this week.....
