Yeah it should be cool.CHRISP wrote:Cant wate to see it Tony with the m50 lump in
Was going to get some more pics before but camera phone is shite and my other thing is knackered, done well though,£15 4 yrs ago
Ill just post pics of it when its done, keep you in suspense

To be honest it should be straight forward enough once the engine and box is out, just a case of swapping the bits directly from the other one.Got Dave doing the wiring for me so ill get on with something else why he s doing that.Xmember/front suspension etc is only an hour or so per car so ill probably start that on Saturday while Andy does the clean up of the battery tray.Sunday maybe Monday afternoon/eving i can get the M50 unbolted and dropped into its new home, thats the plan anyway!CHRISP wrote:hope it all gos well

Dave with the wiring is just to get things moving on quicker. Its slightly different on a facelift so its not just plug and playCHRISP wrote:so yo got the A TEAM on your case .
it will soon be up and running
Andy, well Andy loves it,makes him feel good inside

Right got loads done today
Started just after 2pm and got the engine/box/prop/exhaust/xmember and suspension legs off.Whole lot took about 3 1/2 hours bearing in mind i did it on my own i dont think that was bad
Anyway just spent the last 2 hours scrubbing the whole engine bay and under the arches, hard work cause it was grubby but the results were worth it,its come up mint!
Looks like the weather may put a hold on it this weekend but ill get an hour in where i can

Tristan, thanks for the link mate although ive done it with waxoil now
May still get some of that though for in the boot corners/inner rear quarters etc!
This fooking weather
Got virtually nothing done today, non stop pissing it down all day!
Did manage to remove the battery in boot kit from the breaker ready to refit tomorrow to the new one.
Andy turned up to do the battery tray paint but again the rain stopped play so hopefully that will be done Monday?
Tomorrow im going to fit the battery kit then make a start on Hammeriting under the front arches in Black.Cleaned them out the other day and have come up mint, quick coat of paint and theyll look like new

Not so easy for the calipers because it's a quattro.
really flies compared to the 316i and uses less petrol
