It's not going to be standard by any means,
but all things that are being changed, will be replaced, and all original parts retained...i.e rear lights wil be tinted red, smoked smileys, blacked out front grill..and a few other bits and bobs! All the parts on the car will be kept original, and only the replacements will be sprayed.

Will these wheels fit the cab without mods?

Also, what's the offset for e30 wheels?

:woohoo:
Picked up the brand new (and yes, they are brand new) Borbet A's today....they look even better in the flesh (or metal  )!

pics will be up soon....

for anyone who missed it...

http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... ic&t=71257

Test fitted one on the car....was bit suprised about how big the gap became...mind you, the tyre's are pretty stretched, so it seems there's hardly any sidewall to the wheels once on the car!

Pics are uploading, and will be up soon :D

The tyres have mud on them as the seller owns a farm, and he had them on a car (not driven, car has no engine!) to see what they'd! The wheels and tyres are brand new (you could still see where the stickers were!) :D

Ony problem is don't have the key for the borbet centre's....anyone know where to get one from, or if possible if you can get replacement locking nuts for the caps?

The seller was a really top bloke...and we both knew the wheels are probably worth more than we paid for them!

The sellers got quite a few (barn full) VW camper-vans, and golfs which he breaks for parts...

His father also had an Alfa 75 churning out 600bhp, and an american hotrod Chevvy with a 1000BHP engine 8O ....looked nice!

The seller is into the euro thing, and bought the wheels to go onto the golf that he'd jad re-sprayed, and was going to give it to his misses, but had 2nd thoughts after what she did to his last car!!! Hence the reason they're unused, and slightly muddy (were on the car, to cart it around the barn!)

I have to say, the wheels really do look awesome in reality....pictures just don't do these wheels justice!!! 8)

Yep 9j all round...

I was only looking at the other wheels as my bro was insistant that he wanted 17's, as he though 16's would look too small....managed to convince him, and since he's seen the wheels he's not stopped thanking me :D
aceraf likeing the look your going for, they suit the car, keep it up,
Thanks, I've had inspiration from the Zone...I was trying to balance something that's going to look awesome, and yet hold some value (sick of buying 17's that drop 1/2 the value as soon as you put them on the car! :-x ) Also, 1st choice for my bro was RH toplines, but they've been done to the death in derby, and someone else has them on a cab right now, i wanted to get something different! Never seen 9J Borbet A's on an e30 in derby (or any car in derby for that matter!)

Going to drop the car 60mm all-round, and then put the wheels on when we've got hold of some locking bolts!

Still a long way to go for this car to look like the image i have in my head....but watch this space! :D

*Update*

Got some new german plates today...

They are wrong, in that we didn't want the gap between the '4' and the 'B', but the seller agreed to send us out a new set, absolutely free :woohoo: , so they should be coming next week...

seen as my bro's already had the plate transfered onto the car...we wacked these one's on for now!

Oh, and H4BEO is as close to HABEEB as he could get, without having to chop letters....he wanted to add a dot in the O, or change it...but i convinced him, that the people who matter will know what the plate means, so don't bother doing anything dodgy on them, and attracting even more attention from the old bill!

Anyway, here's some pics, also some pics from a yesterday when we went to pics the wheels up.
[Low res as were taken on my phone]

I have to add, that the quality of the plates is awesome...really pressed in metal, and look stunning...was really impressed with them!

I've ordered a set for my car aswell, and i would recommend the seller to anyone who's after a set. He made a mistake with the plate, and admitted that, and is sending out a new set at cost to him.

Here's a link to his items...i purchased the £19.99 buy-it-now with free postage (limited time offer), which i think is a good price for genuinely pressed plates! :D
http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZeuropl8QQhtZ-1

If anyone purchase's anything from him, please mention my name (no i'm not getting commision) as i said i'll give him a mention here as the zone needs people who offer service like his! :D

Quick update....

The Flat centre caps have been ordered along with locking nuts and key...will post pics when they arrive.

New plates arrived...

Image

New head-unit arrived....tested it at home first, and then installed, very impressed, i was expecting it to sound crap, but really has got awesome sound, and almost 5.1 sound (doesn't have center speaker) when playing the DVD's back! The picture is also very sharp...plays everything...divx etc...and has TV...going to order a freeview box to connect ot it aswell!

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

The head-unit is longer than a standard unit, and therefore sticks out from the dash more than i'd like...this means the screen catches the indicator unless you pull the switch forward on opening and closing the unit....guess we'll have to live with it now!

Image

Image

Image

Image

Also been busy spraying a spare front grill that i' bought for the car, and will be adding that once the weather brightens up...it's still waiting to be serviced, but it's always raining when i get home from work!

Also, some tweeters arrived this morning, so will be installing them soon...i want them hidden away, so need to think off somewhere to mount them!

More to come! :D

*update*

Sprayed the spare grill sections gloss black to match the eye-brows i'd previously sprayed...

also fitted some tweeters to the ICE to add some crispness to the sound.
And finally fitted the new German plates.

My camera battery's were dead, so i didn't get any decent pics of anything...

also forgot to take any pics of the ICE upgrade.

here's some inital pics (taken on phone! :o: )

Also, since seeing my HID lights, my bro's ordered some aswell, so it should be looking even better with the new lights!

Plan to smoke the front lights as soon as i can find another set...!

Still need to get the wheels fitted, still waiting for my bro to decide what he's doing about the drop!! The flat centre caps came through for the wheels, and they're looking good!

My bro's considering getting the wheels lip polished before putting them on...!

No new mods, but ave the car a wash, clay and polish, and then took some pics off it. All the pics we have of the car clean seem to be when it's getting dark, and also all on my street, so i found a new location for some pics...

A 60mm lowering kit has been ordered, and should be delivered soon!

It's not going to be as bad as you think....the tyres are so stretched on these wheels, that when i test fitted the borbets on the current suspension there was a massive gap in the arch....despite the bbs's not having much of a gap in the arch!

Also, the front is way to high, and i don't want the car sitting uneven (60/40), so it's 60mm all round!

Also have the flat centres for the Borbets....

Also have a set of HID lights on the way,

And some number plate surrounds similar to the one's on my car,

Think it needs spacers on the front as i test fitted one of the borbets today, and it was touching the strut!

Still on the lookout for a hard-top for it, but working within a bidget now, so will need to be patient!

Anyways, took yet more pics....some of our 2 cars together....really makes mine look sh*te when it's parked up next to the cabby!

Cars been lowered 60mm all round, and the borbets have been put on.

Seen as i'm the one who takes the pics i may aswell give an update.

The car now has a Cream Leather Sports interior. The horse shoe will be fitted as soon as it's been colour coded.

Also to go on as soon as it's been sprayed is a full genuine Tech 2 kit

Cars come along way from what it used to look like when it was bought.

Car's also had a full service, cambelt change, under-sealant, and lots of other bits and bobs have been done mechanically, and it's running sweet!!! :D

Anyways, here are some pics.

Going to try and get some new pics taken once the weather gets a bit better.

coming along nicely, but has had some money thrown at it.

Oh, and forgot to say, thanks to JAMZ for the kit and leathers, you described them exactly as they are...more or less brand new! :thumb:

Take the shot above again. Weather not really an issue, just make sure you don't cut the front of the car off and try to wait until there is no cars behind the cabby.

Then work you photoshop magic, it'll look awesome!!
